Combining quick turnaround and longer term strategy we were asked to develop a website for North American food science startup Food Physics. Essentially an MVP, the site needed to be delivered within 2 weeks and built in such a way that there was scope for expansion.
We kicked the project off with a planning workshop with designer and illustrator Richard Chant, who had previously worked with Food Physics on designing their brand. During the workshop we mapped out where Food Physics would like their website to be in the future, discussed potential complexities and worked out what would be viable for launch. The result was two rough information architecture diagrams, one for the initial launch and one to act as a road map for future expansion.
With consideration to future expansion we built a modular back end on WordPress, chosen for it’s ease of use and flexibility and worked alongside Richard to consult on UX and mobile optimisation.
The end result was a website ready to promote at the January trade shows that Food Physics were exhibiting at, turned around from start to finish in just 2 weeks.
